Team can make their own custom bots, but they must respect the dimensions and sizes stated in the manual.
Robot Size Limits
Starting Size: Your robot must fit within a cube of 45.72 cm x 45.72 cm x 45.72 cm.
Horizontal Expansion: Once the match begins, your robot can expand to a maximum horizontal footprint of 60.96 cm x 60.96 cm.
Vertical Expansion during Normal Play: Your robot can grow vertically up to a maximum height of 127 cm.
Vertical Expansion Endgame (Final 20 Seconds): If any part of your robot is in the Midfield, your vertical expansion is strictly limited to 45.72 cm.
Motors and Power
Total Motor Power: You can use any combination of V5 Smart Motors (11W and 5.5W), but the total power cannot exceed 88W.
Drivetrain Limit: The motors used for your mobile robotic base (Subsystem 1) cannot exceed a combined power of 55W.
Battery: You are allowed only one (1) V5 Robot Battery to power the brain.
Brain: Only one (1) V5 Robot Brain is permitted.
Controllers: You may use one or two V5 Controllers to operate your robot.
Pneumatics: You are limited to a maximum of two (2) VEX Air Tanks. The system must include a VEX Pressure Gauge and cannot be charged over 100 psi.
